The secret of getting better grades in college is actually much easy than you realize. You probably know some students struggle hard still get bad grades in school. And you also listen about those students, who get ‘A’ grade with low effort. This is due to cognitive style of learning. The students who work hard but do not use their cognitive style of learning get bad grades in exams.

There are three main cognitive styles of learning listed below, and key to get better grades:

  • Visual
  • Auditory
  • Kinesthetic
  •

Visual

The people, who use their visual cognitive style of learning, learn more by seeing the things than feeling or hearing them. These students learn much more rapidly by looking the things, or seeing any diagram that is explaining something.

Auditory

These students use their auditory ability to learn the things. They hear the things more rapidly than seeing or feeling them. They learn quickly by listening to a tape or paying attention on the words of the teacher delivering lecture. The auditory learner students will struggle hard to read the textbooks or academic notes.

Kinesthetic

These people are good learner by feeling things physically, and emotionally. The kinesthetic people are introverted, quiet, and want to remain alone. They enjoy their surroundings, and interpret their own meanings. These have creative mind, and have the hardest time in class, because, all the teaching in the class is visual or auditory in nature.

Surely, you have one of these three cognitive abilities. Use that ability in proper way to learn the things, and get good grades in school or college.
