European Vacation: Travel from Berlin to Prague

Posted by thenewsgiraffe on September 23rd, 2017

Anyone who plans on visiting Germany might be tempted to take a train to certain destinations, but that would be a big mistake. Yes, it would make it easier and quicker to reach their destination, but they would miss out on many of the spectacular towns and attractions in between.

And that couldn’t be more true than with travel from Prague to Berlin or the other way from Berlin to Prague.

Here are some of the unique opportunities that await a person during a European vacation as they travel from Berlin to Prague and back again:

Moritzburg Castle

This baroque castle is from the 18th century and was owned by Saxony’s Elector Frederick Augustus I. A lake and gorgeous gardens surround the castle and people may even encounter men next to their horse drawn buggies out front. Currently, visitors can see an exhibit about the German fairytale movie, Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella, as well as one of the rooms that is filled with multiple deer heads.

Saxon-Switzerland National Park

Many people want to visit this park during the warmer months of the year, so that they can hike. However, it is a spectacular place at any time, because it is filled with tons of wildlife. Visitors to the park will find themselves looking everywhere at once as they spot sandstone pillars, valleys, and gorges at the same time they are seeing eagles soaring up in the sky. Anyone that does plan on hiking will find themselves busy, because there are more than seven hundred summits to conquer.

Hluboká Castle

This castle has been around since the 13th century, but the current building design was created during the early 18th century when the Schwarzenbergs became the owners. Visitors will become acutely aware at how fascinated the owners were with hunting, because the castle is filled with rifles and hunting trophies.

Budweiser Budvar

This Budweiser beer is very different than the Budweiser that is sold in the United States and this brewery makes more beer than anywhere else in the world. The tour of the brewery includes the bottling room filled with different machines and a beer down in the cellar. Anyone who drinks beer will want to know how it is made and they might as well learn from the best!

Planning a European vacation that includes a trip from Berlin to Prague can be exciting and scary at the same time. It may be easier to hop on a train, but then people will not see all these fantastic places. No one wants to miss out on any of these, especially the visit that includes a pint of beer.
