Choosing the right university represents one of the most important decisions in a student’s life but the mission does not stop here because finding accommodation definitely represents a step that cannot be neglected. Students have many options at their disposal and are able to weigh the positive and negative aspects of each one. In fact, this could probably make their situation even more difficult but after all, they will experience uncertainties all the time in the future. Fortunately, the internet gives them the possibility to search student accommodation in Newcastle or any other place in the world with the click of a button.

University halls

These accommodation spaces for students are managed by the universities and they can ensure an authentic experience because you will definitely meet a lot of people and spend more time with other students, which can help you create positive relationships and make friends faster. If you are in the first year, even better because you will practically live on the campus or as close as possible meaning that you will not have to worry about transportation. Moreover, you will be present to every important event without having to travel long distances and if you encounter any problem, the university will surely represent a solid support. The negative aspect is that because you will live with other students, you will have to tolerate mess and noise and you do not have the freedom to choose a specific person to live with.

Private halls for students

Private halls appeared due to the great demand of accommodation from students. You are able to experience the same perks provided by university halls but with slight differences. For instance, the living complex is not owned by the university but a private company and for this reason, students from other universities could live there. If you choose this option, you have to consider the space, the facilities, the price and the activities provided. Besides the advantages and disadvantages similar to university halls, another negative aspect is that you will have to pay more money.

House share

If you are just starting your first year, this might not be the best choice for you. However, if you already managed to make some friends and you have a group of people that could live with you and share the costs, things would change drastically and house share student accommodation in Newcastle would prove to be the most convenient option. Obviously, all the tenants will have equal access to all the utilities available. If you sign a contract or an agreement for a specific period, you have to keep in mind the fact that even if you decide to move somewhere else, you will still have to pay the rent.

Private Accommodation

Some students do not like the halls and as a result, they choose private accommodation. If you consider yourself independent and mature or if you do not find a place in university halls, you can resort to this option. The positive aspect is that you have the possibility to choose a space and the person you want to share it with. The negative aspect is that you will have to deal with the landlord and manage your bills. In addition, the place could be situated outside the campus.
