Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club is the perfect place to have a round of golf if you’re in the Maryland area. Their website states that this is “An experience unlike any other awaits you at Bear Trap Dunes where exceptional course conditions, remarkable facilities, expert service, and warm hospitality are just the beginning!”

It was built in 1999 by Architect Rick Jacobson and is a year round seasonable golf course that you can enjoy on your own, as part of a club or in a couple – whatever suits you.

The Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club is a unique and memorable golf course on the Eastern Shore lined with native wetland grasses and natural sand dunes. This is a great golf course because it is well groomed and perfect for golfers of every skill level. It offers 27 holes of scenic beauty, too.

The dress code at this course is proper golf attire at all times. No Jeans or T-Shirts are allowed here! Carts are included in green fees. There’s also a pro shop on site.

There are various discounted rates available at this course, including the Freeman 3-Play + Replay where you can get 4 rounds on premier Eastern Shore Golf courses for only 9!!

Golfers love this course. One reviewer said, “Beautiful, Challenging, Very Playable. Great course….The layout is challenging with well bunkered fairways and greens, the stiff wind requires shaped shots on every hole, and the elevation changes are something special for a shore course! Also, the greens are tricky with subtle breaks, but roll very well. Despite the challenge, the course is very player friendly (I only lost two balls) and a fun track to get around!”

If you’re not sure you’d like to play and would like more training, they offer a wide selection of golf instruction programs, clinics, camps and member tournaments and events. There are also various junior options if your child wants to come along and learn a little. They hold regular events that could be worth checking out on their website.

They also have a restaurant on site. The Den Bar & Grill and clubhouse has been recently renovated with a coastal chic vibe. It offers live music, patio parties, Bingo and a lot more all through the summer months.
