T Shirts meant for Summer Wear

Posted by dwspriyanka on May 28th, 2011

There is a bit of a difference between t shirts worn in the summer and those worn during other times of the year. Summer heat is harsh, with hot heat and either extremely dry or humid air depending on where you live. No one likes to be hot and uncomfortable in the summer, which is why t shirt design trends tend to change when summer comes around. The most obvious change from the t shirt styles in summer is the thickness of the material. Thin cotton apparel is the most popular during the summer months because it is affordable, comfortable, and is nice and light. The lighter the shirt is in weight, the better you will feel wearing it once it starts to get hot. Lighter colors are also popular in summer, as dark colors and black can make the heat feel even worse. Stick to light materials and colors for maximum comfort. Should you prefer polo-style tees, which often come in thicker materials than standard next t shirts, be sure to look for those made of cotton or a cotton blend to keep cool. Though one of the fundamentals of t shirts design is the short sleeves, they tend to get even shorter in the summer. This is especially true of women's styles, which have sleeves that can cut off at the shoulders and still be considered a t shirt. Men's styles also have shorter sleeves in the summer, though mid-length short sleeves are still relatively common in the season. Graphic design t shirt styles are often not the best choice for the hotter months because they can make the shirt feel hotter than it really is. This varies from style to style, but it is something to keep in mind, especially if wearing a t shirt with a black graphic. Plain text styles are more comfortable during the summer and still let you express yourself through your clothing. Choosing t shirts design styles for the summer isn't hard -- it only requires some common sense and a keen eye for material.
