Surrounded by an ornamental flower garden, a large lake and over 4000 trees makes you forget that you are in the heart of the city. You can also enjoy boating, swimming, skating and cycling in this park. It has a spectacular playground for children. There is a track for horse riding and a tennis court too. The park also has two restaurants situated near the lake which serves you from a coffee to a three-course meal.
  • Visit Kensington Garden:   This garden is a home to Kensington palace. The serpentine gallery, the Peter Pan and the beautiful memorial of Albert has themed the Princess Diana memorial playground.    

The park covers an area about 100 hectares and is planted with beautiful trees and has a decorative patch of ground of flowers. It also has different kinds of wildlife and grasslands in it. There are two playgrounds, Princess of Wales Memorial playground and the Diana Memorial playground.

  • Visit Regent’s Canal: Starting from Little Venice and ending in Docklands the Regent’s canal was named after the Prince Regent, later George IV. This canal is a part of London’s Grand Union Canal. This canal has its way through parks, a zoo, Victorian Warehouses, Camden Market and Celebrity hangouts. This canal was built to link with river Thames from the huge Grand Junction Canal’s Paddington Branch. Now it is a place for leisure activity for Londoners and other visitors.
  • Visit Little Venice: Situated in the North of London the Little Venice has beautiful canals and waterways. This place is positioned where the Regent’s canal and the Grand Union meet together. This place has cosy pubs, waterside cafes and restaurants. You fill find plenty of things to do in here from puppet show to canal boat rides. It also has some of the most interesting theatre venues in the city. This place has a very beautiful inner city location which is close to the junction of Grand Junction Canal and Regent’s Canal and is located near the Paddington Basin.
  • Hire A Paddle Boat: What better way to spend your day than hiring a great paddle board and paddling in the area? Paddle boarding is one of the adventurous thing you can go for in the city. Supcity is a place for paddle boarding lessons and racing in London.
  • Visit Heatherwick’s Rolling Bridge: This Bridge was designed by Heatherwick Studio which is an award winning studio. It installed at Paddington in 2004. The height of the bridge is twelve meter and is made of eight triangular segments. The triangular segments folds towards each other which forms an octagonal structure which stands on one side of the canal towpath. This bridge was constructed in Little Hampton Welding in Sussex and was brought to Paddington through canal. It has won two awards since its opening, Emerging Architecture award and a Structural Steel Award.
  • Visit Paddington’s Fan Bridge: The Fan Bridge is situated at Merchant Square which is Paddington’s newest landmark. This bridge was designed by bridge specialists Knight Architects. This cantilevered moving structure which is three metre wide stretches twenty meter across the head of the basin. Hydraulicks jacks are used to rise it. The deck of the Fan Bridge has five beams, each opening at sequence and rising to an angle of 80 degrees. The beams were brought to Paddington by barge.
  • Visit Puppet Theatre: It is one of the best places to spend time with your families. This theatre specialises in puppet shows which features marionettes. This theatre is put up in a boat and puts its shows on by travelling down the Thames. You can also find the theatre stationed at Richmond or Little Venice.
  • Visit ZSL London ZOO: This zoo is open to the visitors since 1847. The ZSL London Zoo is a perfect place to visit with families and friends. This zoo has incredibly over 750 species and is the probably a best place for day out. This zoo has Land of Lions, where you can educate yourself with the state of the art facilities. It has a breeding group for Asiatic lions. Only 400 Asiatic lions remain in the world and are on the verge of extinction. So with this state of the art facility you will probably have a breath taking experience.
