Being a firm believer in brotherhood and the sovereignty of one supreme creator, becoming a Freemason would be good for you. When the concept of Freemasonry was introduced, all the people involved in it were men and known as stone masons. Due to this reason, the term ‘Brotherly Love’ was written in the Masonic order. As this tradition continued for a long period of time, some people developed a wrong notion that it is a social group of men. However, during the middle 1800s, the Freemasons fraternity started taking progressive steps and created organizations that included women as well. Some of the prominent organizations belonging to this category are The Order of the Eastern Star, largest women-related Masonic group, The Order of the Amaranth and the White Shrine of Jerusalem. All of these organizations are composed of both the sexes without having any discrimination of race, religion, creed or sexual orientation.
