STUDY REVEALS SCANDINAVIAN OMEGA-3 MORE EFFECTIVE AGAINST HEART DISEASE

In a comprehensive new study published in the journal Lipids in Health and Disease it was shown that the molecular structure and dosage of omega-3 found in oil derived from Scandinavian sources reduces the risk of heart disease more effectively than other sources.

The trial objective was to compare the increases in blood levels of omega-3 fatty acids after consumption of four different omega-3 supplements, and to assess potential changes in cardiovascular disease risk following supplementation.  Results showed that oil from Scandinavia in the natural triglyceride (TG) form was 382% more effective than krill oil and 227% more effective than salmon oil. Scandinavian ethyl ester (EE) fish oil was 202% better than krill oil and 120% better than salmon oil.
