Perhaps you’re baffled with your dog’s excessive barking habits, and are in need of the right fix that makes them stop barking. Of course, no owner likes to hear their dogs bark unnecessarily, so you are not any different. Dogs generally bark for many reasons and you couldn’t identify all the reasons precisely, unless you and your dog share a great rapport. Even so, there are several instances wherein dogs that keep barking at night but observe bizarre silence during the day.

Trying to understand what the problem with your dog is may be a right way to best approach an unnecessary behavioural change such as barking at night; however you’ve got to do something to solve the problem somehow. It really is a tough sell to encourage your neighbour to instruct his dog not to excessively bark.

On the other hand, if you own a pet dog, you may not consider your dog’s excessive barking habit something unwarranted. Have you ever thought about the neighbours living next door? What if they are not so fond of pets, and show aversion towards dogs in particular? You may want to get this issue straightened out before somebody logs a complaint on your dog, stating that it has been a serious nuisance since it started barking at night.

One of the many reasons that make dogs to be continuously barking at night is sheer boredom. Your dog might be very active during the day and doesn’t want to quieten down when the night comes. So, it may be frustrated with this change. Or else, when it’s limited to a space or is bound with chains, it may grow furious as to not being able to move around as freely as it would want to. Dogs enjoy being active whenever they’re awake whatsoever. So they don’t quite understand that they’re supposed to stop barking especially at nights. They’re social creatures and get vexed when they don’t find anything amusing them. That is when the yapping starts. Nobody knows of a way to ensure that the dog keeps himself busy playing or doing something so nights are not a problem?

One alternative that you can think about to deal with excessive barking is an ultrasonic noise generator. They produce sudden bursts of noise which are mostly inaudible to humans. When the dog starts barking vociferously, the device gets triggered and wouldn’t stop until the barking stops. Most of the dogs out there cannot bear the noise and would not bark any further to shun the racket. But, you never know whether this device would work with your dog. So, if your dog keeps barking at night for no reason, you may try this out on your dog and check for results.
