Building a Business as an Uber fleet owner

Posted by John Smith on November 1st, 2017

Uber has proven to be a flexible source of income for drivers and Uber fleet owners. If you have a car registered on the Uber platform as a driver, you get to drive on your own schedule and be your own boss. You decide your own hours and keep the bulk of ride fares to yourself. Uber mandates that drivers remit 20% - 30% commission while keeping the rest.

Uber drivers have to keep up their ratings on the Uber app by offering exceptional professional services to the riders which brings us to the Uber driver rating system. Uber passengers get to rate the service provided by Uber drivers. This is done via the Uber app at the end of the ride. Uber drivers have to keep their ratings at 4.5 to 5 to remain on the Uber platform. If the driver keeps getting low ratings, Uber will be forced to remove said driver from the platform. Customer service is quite important to Uber. Without the passengers, Uber will experience a deep in earnings.

If you need information on how to start an Uber Fleet, you can visit the Uberkit.net website and download any of the kits at the top right of the linked page.

Uber has certain requirements for vehicles registered on the Uber platform.  Please note that these requirements vary by city:

  • The car year should be 2000 or newer (Uber car year requirements vary by city).
  • The car should also have no major cosmetic damage.
  • Salvaged or rebuilt vehicles cannot be used, and full-size vans or marked vehicles such as taxis are a no-no as well.
  • Your vehicle will have to go through an Uber approved Vehicle inspection.

For Uber Drivers and Entrepreneurs who are looking to do proper due diligence before acquiring a car and want to assess the profitability of Uber as a business whether as a one man business (a sole Uber driver), or as an Entrepreneur with multiple Uber cars in his/her fleet, then you might just need to check out either of our Uber Kits at the top right of the linked pages below:
