Adhesive and Spray adhesive

Adhesives are known as glue, cement or mucilage. It helps to bind things together so that they can stay together for a very long time. It is an important material that not only households but also industries require. Adhesives can be found in nature or produced in industries. Glue is required in every object that is used in daily lives, starting from labels in bottles to sanitary napkins. It has been in use for centuries now.

Application

Applicators of glue are made according to the way it will be used and the part on which it will be used. The glue is applied on the area by the use of applicator and then the pressure is applied so that it sticks properly and there are no air bubbles. The most common ways of using glue are brushes, applicator guns, rollers, films, spray guns etc. These can be used by hand or by a machine. The three most important functions of glue are to make the area of the objects wet, harden it so that the objects stick together and must be able to share load between the two objects that are being bonded together.

Advantages and disadvantages

Adhesive provides many advantages over sewing, mechanical fasting, thermal bonding etc. It helps to release stress at pressure points of the objects, bonds the two things together so that they don't fall apart. There are, however, many advantages to using glue. Its stability decreases when there are high temperatures, it is weak when one large object is bound to small objectss. It also proves to be a problem when separating two objects.

Spray adhesive

Spray adhesive is another way of using glue. The spray contains adhesive which helps to stick things to the walls or any other surface. It bonds a wide variety of lightweight materials like cardboard, plastic, films, paper etc. It is a faster way of sticking things together and less soaking. It had an extended open time and is very effective. Spray adhesive is used in many things by industries, bikers, artists students and many others. It also works on glass and sticking foam on walls. It can help soundproof walls and peels off easily without any stickiness or stain. It is pH neutral and is easy to use. It is mainly used for crafts as it safe to use by young kids. It is acid free and provides free positioning of the objects in place.

Conclusion

Adhesive and Spray adhesive are very important materials and are required everywhere. Without them, nothing can be done. To make sure that two or three or more objects stick together, these things are of prime significance.
