13 Motivational Quotes For AthletesPosted by Sara Jane on November 29th, 2017 Lately in my training, I have been doing a lot of work on my focus and positive thinking and my mentor mentioned that I should read motivational quotes each day. At first I thought it would be kind of cheesy but I actually found some that are really changing my thinking. Each day I spend about five minutes reading these quotes I definitely notice its positively impacting my training. Here are some of my favorites: "There is no getting around the fact that the moment you are at your very best is the moment you begin to become worse and worse. Others will come along who can run faster, jump higher, hit harder, and you will be forgotten. Your winning moment is dated to die.” ― Charlie Higson “The pain you feel today, will be the strength you feel tomorrow.” “Never give up, never give in, and when the upper hand is ours, may we have the ability to handle the win with the dignity that we absorbed the loss.” – Doug Williams “By constant self-discipline and self-control you can develop greatness of character.” Grenville Kleiser “My attitude is if you push me towards a weakness, I will turn that weakness into a strength.” – Michael Jordan “Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal – a commitment to excellence – that will enable you to attain the success you seek.” Mario Andretti “Talent is never enough. With few exceptions the best players are the hardest workers.” – Magic Johnson “The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.” Vince Lombardi Source: Motivation Ping Like it?
