Amazing day at the beach ? Beach Towel

If you are like me, exercising is and has become something you have to squeeze into an already hectic schedule. Time is just something there never seems to be enough of. Between working, managing a bunch of small projects, and everything else in between, staying physically in shape becomes much more difficult.

Recently I’ve started to wake up early, just before sunrise. I like to take brief jogs at that time, maybe 30 minutes in length. I find that in doing this; I get my body going, as well as my mind. There’s a sense of personal time, where it’s just you and your thoughts. I really have come to look forward to this part of my day.

Going to the gym is something I have been contemplating, but have yet to actually pull the trigger on. I will tell you that I am a bit of a germaphobe, but in my defense, I would like to point out all the times I have been in a public restroom, and seen guys walk right out without washing their hands. Totally gross right? So you see, I’m not completely without a case here.

Anyway, I just imagine having to wipe down all those fitness machines with my changing towel and just being totally turned off by the whole thing.

Being single does help with added motivation on staying fit; you always want to have the best version of yourself out there. In my last relationship, we did like to go to the park and run together. That was nice, we motivated each other, although she couldn’t keep up sometimes and I’d have to wait for her to catch up, no biggie!

I also like to take a gym bag and throw in my beach towel, catch the 405 to the 10, and end up at Santa Monica beach. I love swimming, especially during the week when there isn’t too many people out there.

There’s something about the ocean, I love the smell, the sounds of the waves crashing, and yeah, even the seagulls. I mean what kind of southern California native would I be if I didn’t. It’s sort of like meditation in a way.

In the water, I feel the mass and strength of the ocean; the vulnerability of it all gives me a real appreciation of the moment and life in general.

There’s also something to be said about getting out of the water and wrapping your large beach towel around yourself. The whole experience is Zen for me.

When I buy items that I normally use often, I like to make sure that have traits that reflect my personality. Just talking about the beach reminded me on how much I love my beach towel. It’s got this huge shark printed on it; people always have something to say when they see it.

If you’re curious, I got my beach towel from LEUS. I like supporting them because not only are their products made in the U.S., but they’re a southern California co.

They have really cool prints on all of their stuff, and I’m sure like me, you will find something that speaks to your individual personality. Check out LEUS at www.leustowels.com
