The technical conditions of powder grinding work

The technical condition of the powder grinding mill refers to the granularity, grinding property, water content, temperature of the feeding materials and the product fineness, which the basis for the selection of powder grinding technology, grinding equipment and the management of the grinding production. This paper mainly deals with these indexes.

(1) The granularity of the feeding materials.

The granularity of the feeding materials has great influence on the output, quality and power consumption of the ultrafine mill. If the granularity of the materials is small and the material feeding is even, then the grinding will be easy and the output of the grinding mill will high and the quality is also high. On the contrary, if the granularity of the materials is large and the material feeding is not even, then the powder grinding will be difficult and the output and the product quality of the grinding mill will be low and the power consumption will be high. In addition, the feeding granularity of different materials should be controlled within a certain range.

(2) The grindability of materials.

The grindability of the materials means that the complexity of the materials to be ground which is shown by the relative grinding factor which has close relationship with the structure of the materials.

(3) The water content of the materials.

When dry grinding method is used, the water content of the materials has great influence on the output and quality and operation of the ore milling equipment. The water content of the fed materials should be strictly controlled.

(4) The temperature of the fed materials.

During the powder grinding process, the materials will produce large quantity of heat and the temperature will rise and exceed 100℃. If the temperature of the fed materials is high, then the temperature of the grinding materials will be higher which may bring a series of bad results to the grinding process.

(5) The fineness of the final products.

The product fineness will have a big effect on the physical and chemical reaction that the products will have in the future. Powder grinding not only increases the surface size of the materials, but damages even breaks the particle surface of the materials so that other materials that also participates in the reaction will be easy to penetrate into the particles.
