Top Engineering college in MP

Engineering is one of the most important sectors for the development of a society. With engineering comes innovation which makes a society progressive and sustainable. In India, Engineering is one of the most sought after professions. Every year lakhs of students appear for various entrance exams in India, like JEE Main (previously known as AIEEE), JEE Advanced (previously known as IIT JEE), BITSAT, and various state-level engineering entrance exams. However, only a handful of students make it to the top 100 engineering colleges in India.

There are hundreds of colleges for engineering in Indore. But if you pursue your engineering course from one of the best engineering college in Indore, top 100 engineering schools to be precise, the chances of getting a job in one of the best companies in the engineering sector will be higher. The topmost engineering colleges in Madhya Pradesh have better infrastructure, faculty, and placement opportunities.

To a large extent, success in life is not simply about academic knowledge. It is also about a whole bunch of other factors – what we call “exposure”. This involves all kinds of things – like interactions with industry, various (non-academic) activities that you indulge in in a city, seeing the various interesting and different things that people are doing in the city, opportunities of getting involved in various initiatives, and generally “smartness” (as in “The Bombay exposure has really made him smart.”)

Also, please get out of your parents’ house. Stay in a hostel, or a rented flat with a bunch of your classmates, or something. That will propel you into the real world, give you some maturity, and the ability to deal with all kinds of issues that you need to deal with, when you are no longer staying under a protective cover provided by your parents. This is an important part of your education at this stage.

Engineering vs other fields of study

Frankly, I am not qualified to give advice on whether you should do Engineering or something else. If you find that you’re interested in some “alternate” career (e.g. photography, movies, music, art, design, whatever), here are some thoughts that you might find helpful:

  •  Try to find out which are the top engineering colleges in indore where you can get a degree or certificate or whatever it is that helps with learn the field that you’re interested in. Then find out what it takes to get admission to that institute and how much it costs. And then make a detailed plan as to how you could actually do it. This will significantly improve the chances that you’ll be allowed to do it, and also that you’ll succeed in your chosen career. I would love to see more and more students in India follow this path.
  •  If you can’t get into one of the top institutes, maybe you should listen to your parents? It’s difficult to justify a risky career move on the basis of a mediocre education in that field.
  •  I find that most students who claim to be interested in such alternate careers are too lazy to actually do the work needed to create the plan mentioned in the first bullet-point.
  •  Medical vs. Engineering: Again, I’m not really qualified to give advice about whether you should go for engineering or Medicine. However, note: there are many students who avoid the medical side because they hate 10th or 12th std. biology.

In this case, remember that doing a medical degree is not at all like 12th std. biology. So, this alone is not a good enough reason for rejecting medicine.
Try to talk to, and find out more, from some real doctors what it is like to study medicine. You should consider medicine as a career, especially if you like people more than you like machines or software programs. If you’re not good at maths or logic, engineering is not for you.

The ordeal sometimes it seems is not clear the examinations but later on making a decision about the correct college to choose from the many options that are available.

The question then arises of how to decide a college when there are thousands of engineering colleges in MP.

In this article we will discuss some of the features of colleges which will help you choose the right college. There are various factors one should keep his/her mind while deciding a college for admission:

Infrastructure: This is the most important factor while choosing a college. Infrastructure does not only mean a good looking building. It means that whether a college has sufficient amount of infrastructure according to its intake capacity. It includes classroom, administrative building, workshop, computer labs, various laboratories etc. Because during your four year of graduation you need all these things, so keep it your first preference while choosing a college.

Faculty: The infrastructure cannot be the only choosing factor when deciding a college. After having a sufficient infrastructure it is the faculty that makes it useful, otherwise it will be a school without a teacher. Always have a look on college faculty which includes professors, reader, lecturer, teacher-student ratio, visiting faculty, teaching experience etc.

Facilities: This is another important factor that you have to keep in your mind. Facilities provided by college assist you during your college period. This includes library, internet, intranet, hostels, seminar halls, dispensary, student clubs, gym etc.

Placements: This is the most important factor while deciding a college. It does not mean that it is the first and last criteria to choose a college. Placements of a college depend upon many factors like its infrastructure, faculty, facilities provided by college to its students, college rank, past performance of the students in company, and last but not the least individual talent and personality and many more factors. Have a look on past placement record of college, branch wise, as well as company wise. So keep all the things in mind while deciding a college.

Extra curricular activities: This is also one of the factors that should be taken into account because "all work and no play makes jack a dull boy" indeed. This stands true because not only do you have to study but you also have to survive in a competitive environment and for that you have to be a develop an all rounder personality. Extracurricular activities play a very important role in your personality development. So have a look about extra activities provided by college like, annual function, sport function, students club, seminars and workshops, industrial training, social activities, NCC, NSS etc.

Location: This factor does not play a very important role but if it is nearby any industrial or software hub then it may be slightly useful to you as far as your industrial training and placement is concerned but keep this factor at last.
