1) I very much agree. I would've bought a lot of armor packs by now but I can never justify the + price tags. If it was I'd definitely buy them, but for the same price as full games on steam... IDK. Warframe imo has a much better feeling pricing scheme for their skins and items.
2) I think MTX are priced around the fact that supporter packs have 83% to 100% of their value in store points in addition to the mtx in the packs themselves (and various other goodies, physical items, ...)
Look at the abyssal imp pack. you get an armor set, portal and weap effect for 60$. That would probably cost more than 600 points if sold in the store directly. But you also get 550 points to spend in the store.
3) For sure, I would never buy a cloak or a shield MTX at the current prices.
If everything in the store was generally 1/2 the price it currently is I would buy a lot more things but right now it feels like they are just trying to suck you dry for the smallest things.
4) It'd be fair to assume that GGG's marketing team has an analyst that looks into this. They arrived at because it was the best price they thought they could sell it for. It's not like was a random number they just made up.
