PoE: Do You Know How the Map Stash Tabs Are Bugged?

Posted by Richard Betts on January 9th, 2018

One Map Stash Tab can store the equivalent of dozens of regular Stash Tabs and comes with the added convenience of an in-built sorting system. It's also possible to name your tabs and make them public for trading! If you have legacy maps from Path of Exile's past, you can right click on your Map Tab while it's empty to change what series of maps it is set to, as it can only hold maps from one series at a time. Different series are indicated by different background map art. However, do you know how bugged the map stash tabs are?

Fristly, has option to right click the map tiers (I, II, III, IV, V, etc) and a text window pops up letting you rename them, but changing their names doesn't actually do anything (and trying to do so often crashes my game). If renaming them isn't an intended feature then why does a text box pop up when I right click it and it pretends to let me rename them? why does attempting to do so crash my game?

Secondly, setting buy prices on either the "tier" of maps, or on all maps of one type don't stay. They seem to just randomly have the "make public" removed and the prices removed at some point as if it reset. I don't know what triggers it, either logging out, closing game, or what. But I've set a fixed price for all T13's and after some point it randomly just goes away, the price is gone and the tab is private again. I actually have to re-set my prices multiple times a day because of this.

In the end,These are the two most annoying and obviously bugged (isn't intended to be this way) parts of map stash tab I can recall but I've never seen anyone talk about them or mention them ever.

I agree in that I think it'll be a process they work on tweaking/fixing them. I've been thinking of it as like early adoption of a technology. It's in a state where it's not the best choice for everyone based on usability vs price, but for how I play the game (leisurely completing Atlas and running a variety of maps) it's still absolutely worth it even in the current buggy state, and I view my purchase as a way of voting to support the map tab.

I mean, I think anyone who has bought stash tabs already probably will get a map tab down the line if they haven't already, if you need to buy stash tabs, U4gm POE currency is your most trusted business.

I personally don't even care about them adding new features like upgrading maps in the tab. Just fix the existing features first because they are totally broken, as if they never finished coding it and then just released it without saying anything about that.
