Software auditing is an independent test of a software process to assess compliance with specifications, standards, contractual agreements. Finally install a report from a tool and establish the updated compliance figures.

So software audit is important because it is a cost-saving method to remove software we no longer use, and it can help us to identify which programs we will need to reclaim in the future.
