Promotion of 'Medical Tourism' in India due to affordable treatment

Due to better medical facilities at affordable cost, the number of patients coming to India from other countries has increased significantly. As per the data available with the Ministry of Tourism, 96,856 foreigners traveled to India till June this year. In 2013, 56,129 foreigners came to India on medical visas. Their number was 7,5,671 in 2014, while in 2015 this increased to 1,34,344. Most of these are from patients coming from Bangladesh.

Medical Tourism in India - Dipali Bharadwaj, a dermatologist in New Delhi, said, "The number of patients coming from other countries in India has increased a lot as there are good doctors and medical services which they get at very cheap prices. Cosmetic procedures such as laser, Botox and skin surgeries such as nose and facelift are available in other countries at very high prices. Particularly in Bangladesh and Afghanistan, patients have to come here because no such cover is covered by the surgery.

He said, 'I have 30-40 patients on a medical visa every month from another country. I have a lot of patients from Europe because we use European machines in India, which are very expensive in other countries. "Rehana, who came here from Korea recently had his nose treatment. Rehana made a doctor at Dr. Bhardwaj's clinic. In India, it cost only 35,000 rupees, which would cost 60 thousand to 70 thousand in his country.

Many private hospitals in Delhi have a large number of patients from other countries.

Medical Tourism in India - According to Mail Today, Apart from Metro, NCDs like Faridabad and Gurgaon have also seen the number of international patients in multiparty hospitals. Neha Pandey, International Marketing Director of the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, Faridabad, said, "On an average, 2000 international patients come to our hospital for their treatment, Medical Tourism in India.

Most of these are from Middle Eastern countries, Afghanistan, South Africa, Nigeria. From there people come for the treatment of cancer, neurosurgery, cardiovascular, ni replacement, etc. But in the last two months, these figures have come down significantly because they are having difficulty getting medical visas.
