Income Tax Return can be filed Online

Filing Income Tax Return is important for every taxpayer, you need to do this every year without fail. Many people find it hard to E-file Income Tax Returns. What we would suggest you, is you must keep all the required documents handy and here are a few simple that you can follow, while E-filing Income Tax Returns: -

Step 1

The first and foremost thing that you need to do is, visit the Government’s e-filing website and register yourself.

Step 2

Once you have registered yourself, you will proceed towards the ‘Registered User’ tab and click on the ‘login’ virtual switch, after this you will be directed to the next window where you need to enter your User ID, which is your PAN number, password, date of birth and your auto-generated captcha.

Step 3

 Once you have entered all your credentials successfully, you will have to click on the login tab which will take you to a new window. In the new window you can view your previous/current history of ITR’s and by clicking on ‘filing of ITR’ you can proceed further, which will take you to a new window where you can do the E-filing of your new ITR.

Step 4

Now, that you are ready to file a new ITR. You need to enter your PAN, select the relevant assessment year, select the ITR form which you need to use for E-filing your Income Tax Returns, you will have to fill details in the appropriate columns and finally select the mode of submission to proceed further filing your returns.

Step 5

One you have completed the e-filing, you will get your acknowledgment, that is your ITR-V and you will have to send this to CPC Bangalore with 120 days of filing ITR either manually or electronically.
