He has recently invested in purchasing the franchise of Rita's Italian Ice which is a renowned Italian ice restaurant chain.

The first location of Blackwell’s restaurant will open in summer 2018. He is quite excited about this project and there is no denying in the fact that this will mark the beginning of Blackwell’s franchising business. This extremely talented boxer, who is known for his high IQ in the ring, says that he doesn’t only want to be the richest athlete of Baltimore, but he also wants to get recognized for his business skills. He doesn’t want to end up like 60% of the former NBA players, broke and lost, but he wants to secure his and his family’s future and thus, invests in all the fields most athletes would never think about.
