MUMBAI INDIANS Vs CHENNAI SUPER KINGS

maukamauka: The first IPL Match of 11th edition of the Twenty20 cricket tournament between MUMBAI INDIANS Vs CHENNAI SUPER KINGS (MI and CSK) was played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

CSK won the toss and elected to bowl first. Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni are the captains of MI and CSK teams respectively.

The MI started to batting with Rohit Sharma and Evin Lewis. Bad start up by MI teams, the Evin Lewis got IBW by Deepak Chahar ball. In the 3rd over Rohit Sharma caught out by Ambati Rayudu on the Shane Watson ball. After that Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav played good shots for MI Teams and score 113 runs. Hardik and Krunal Pandya both were not out and keeps the team a total of 165 runs at a loss of 4 wickets in 20 over’s.

The CSK Opener was Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu started the batting with flurry hits of fours. The Ambati Rayudu played at a strike rate of 137 but after two dots ball he got LBW by Mayank Markande ball. In the fourth over Ms Dhoni also LBW on the Mayank Markande ball. The CSK score was 75 runs by losing 5 wickets in 12 over.

But in the 13th over a lot of miracle happened

The Dwayne Bravo came in 13th over at the crease and played an incredible innings of 30 balls for 68 runs. He played the inning that put the MI team in a winning position. He played wonderfully 7 sixes and 3 fours at Wankhede Stadium which give the way for CSK sensational return to the Indian Premier League. In 19th over he is caught out by Rohit Sharma on the Jasprit Bumrah ball. Now MI needs 6 more run to win over the 7 balls. Now only Kedar Jadhav had the capacity to hit the shots. He founded the first 3 balls and then sent the flying four to the boundary. And CSK beat MI by 1 wicket.

This was the start Chennai Super Kings needed to make a roaring return to the IPL. The Dwayne Bravo awarded the Man of the Match.
