Tips For Using A Tailoring Machine And Its Proper Maintenance !Posted by Chetan Rathod on May 23rd, 2018 A sewing machine is a very simple tool that has been developed over the years for the convenience of the users. This machine is the main instrument that supplies everyone with their necessary stitched clothing. So the manufacturing companies have now upgraded the manually operated mechanical sewing machine, to the motor-run electronic version. However, the users of all varieties should know the correct procedures of handling a sewing machine and also how to maintain it in the best way. The needle is another vital part of a sewing machine and the user should insert it into the machine, before running the tool. The flat surface of the upper end of this needle should be facing the inner part of the case, in which it needs to be placed. These needles are easily breakable and thus, the user should have multiple ones in stock. The bobbin is also an important part of a sewing machine and generally, the tailoring machine price includes the costs of bobbin and bobbin case. The thread of any chosen color may be winded around the bobbin, with the help of the bobbin winder inbuilt into every sewing machine. The thread pulled out from the bobbin and the thread from a fresh reel inserted through the hole of the needle, are responsible for stitching together all the fabrics. When the sewing machine is started, the threads automatically come out from the reel and the bobbin, pass through the fabric placed under the needle and stitch it as directed by the user. The sewing machine is best maintained by putting drops of special sewing machine oil into the small holes present on the metallic body of this machine. Some models have ‘Oil’ written before these holes, to indicate their actual functions. This oiling should be done at a regular interval of maximum 15 days and the machines that are continuously used should be oiled more frequently. Like it? Share it!More by this author |
