This article is all features a well known American film producer who was born in 1964 who is an entrepreneur and founder and chairman of STX Entertainment. Yes, you guessed it correct. He is none other than the famous personality Robert Simonds.  STX entertainment works mainly in creating, producing, distributing and marketing and financing films under the banner of STX Films.

The company STX Entertainment was founded by Robert Simonds and his co founder was Bill McGlashan. McGlashan is the managing partner of one of the leading private firm in investment in TPG.  Their other investors include Hony Capital, PCCW, Tencent Holdings, Liberty Global, Dominic NG, DNS Capital and Beau Wringley Hony Capital is one amongst the leading private equity firm from China. PCCW is the largest internet and cable service providers in Asia, Tencent Holdings is the leading online products and services provider from China, Liberty Global is the world’s largest distribution platform, Dominic Ng is the East West Bank Chairman and the former Chairman and the CEO of WM is Beau Wringley are the other investors of STX Entertainment as already mentioned above.

It also works in producing and financing STX television, digital media as STX digital and even host’s live events.  Robert Simonds is also known by his other name Bob Simonds. He is known for some of his famous films namely,  “Cheaper by the Dozen”, “Big Daddy”, “The wedding Singer” and many more.

Mr. Simonds got his start by producing a hit films as the John Ritter 1990 comedy “Problem Child” and then never turned back and went on to become one of Hollywood’s most creative and productive film producer and also entrepreneur.

For his dedicated work at STX, he was also featured as one of the top dealmakers of Hollywood in a magazine named Variety magazine in 2014.  The Hollywood reporter also named Simonds to be one of the 100 most powerful people in the field of entertainment in their 1^st and 2^nd annual rankings.

Before starting STX entertainment, Robert Simonds was working independently as a film producer and more than 30 films produced by him are hit on the box office there by earning approximately billion. In his four years of working, he has tripled his company’s valuation.

In a conference held at Beverly Hills, the executives and the financers present there said that the film industries of Chinese and America will continue to collaborate with  each other but the gap between them shall be closed before  the Chinese stories and the intellectual property win the audiences of America and West side.
