The day after the police cleared Zuccotti Park of the Occupy Wall Street dissidents in an overnight strike and captured several individuals, a judge decided Tuesday evening that the city had the privilege to implement rules against having outdoors adapt in the recreation center. Early today we wanted to re-open Zuccotti Park to the general population, including any dissenters, at around 8:00 AM the point at which the cleaning was finished. The opening of the recreation center was postponed because of lawful move made against the City, however, Zuccotti Park is presently open to the general population.

Take Lowes Survey

over 16 hours after the police removed the dissenters, the police started permitting nonconformists back in, single record. They can remain as long as they can imagine, the city stated, yet they can't rest there overnight

The dissenters, numerous waving American banners, needed to walk single record past the officers. "Keep it quiet, keep it quiet," the marchers droned in the showering precipitation.

Andy Nicholson, 54, of Manhattan, delayed in his tracks on his way into the recreation center. Officers instructed him to keep it moving. "It's not as happy as I would have preferred," he said. "It's about control. You need to stroll through a gantlet." Many of the dissenters, however, appeared to be exceptionally upbeat to have returned.

The court's decision vindicates our position that First Amendment rights do exclude the privilege to imperil general society or encroach on the privileges of others by assuming control over an open space with tents and coverings. The City has a definitive obligation to secure general wellbeing and security and we will keep on ensuring that everybody can communicate in New York City. Zuccotti Park will stay open to all who need to appreciate it, as long as they comply with the recreation center's standards.
