Summer is upon us and it is time to get in shape, feel better and generally improve your wellbeing. There are a lot of things you can consider just like our top tips for healthy living that anybody could use.

Breakfast IS that important

Your mother wasn’t lying to you when she told you that breakfast was the most important meal of the day. With modern life, most people skip breakfast and rely on caffeine or energy drinks to wake them up but this just leads to crankiness, addiction and higher tolerance over time.

Eating a nutritious breakfast made up of protein, high fiber and complex carbohydrates can give you the slow, sustained nourishment that your body needs to get started and keep going. Such a balanced meal will keep your blood sugar levels steady and stop you yawning before lunch time has even arrived.

Static Stretching

There is a difference between the types of stretching you can do, but static stretching is beneficial to do when you relax or before bedtime. This can help keep your muscles from being overly tight, improve your mobility and improve your relaxation, remember that your mind and body work in synergy so if one is good, the other will feel better too!

Don’t believe the hype

Most supplements are gimmicks and don’t last long on the market until the next grandiose thing comes along, keep in mind that if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. The majority of supplements can be found in whole foods and they usually cost half the price when you eat them this way.

It is important to set yourself realistic goals that are obtainable and sustainable, if you set yourself up for stress and failure, all of your efforts will be futile in the long run.
