Guess that it was only a couple of time, huh, Tera? En Masse Entertainment's online fantasy game joins Star Wars: The Old Republic and DC Universe Online within the roster of big-deal MMO titles which might be ditching subscriptions. Starting in February, subscriptions will not be required to play Tera.

New players who join following your free-to-play switch—which has called Tera: Rising—will receive the full game, but paying users are going to be Tera PS4 Items granted elite status. Rather than restricting free players and giving paid players the complete game, everyone gets the total game and paid players get extra goodies. Here's a breakdown from today's blog post:

Standard players can have full use of TERA's insightful in-game quite happy with two free characters per server. They are not governed by level caps and definately will experience no restrictions to content, time, or level. In recognition in their early adoption to your game, players who purchased TERA will gain founder benefits, including eight character slots, four bank tabs, a "Founder" title, the exclusive Terminus mount, and even more.

Available in 30-day increments for .99, elite status grants players extra dungeon rewards, 10 bonus quests on a daily basis, an every day delivery of products and boosts, at the very top mount, in-game store discounts, waived brokerage registration taxes, plus much more. Elite players may find that their status covers itself through free items and discounts, not to mention in-game perks.

While non-elite players won't benefit from your same perks for their Elite counterparts, they'll experience game content, character growth, holding political office, as well as other in-game determinations of status and power much the same way all players have since game launched. They can also elect to buy Tera PC Items most items accessible to elite status players by using an a la carte basis on the in-game store or trade broker.

The exact date from the changeover was not revealed yet but Tera players considering more details can find out more here.
