Microsoft and 33 Other Global Leading Tech Companies Join Forces to Fight Agains

Recently, Microsoft is connected with 33 other global leading tech companies like Facebook, Dell, Google and many more only to fight with the Cyber Attacks or Crimes. We cannot decline that cyber attacks are rapidly increasing day by day. Cyber Criminals are interested in making money via fraud or by selling valuable, information or data of users.

Some foreign intelligence services and industrial competitors are very much interested in gaining their economic advantages for their companies or the countries. Hackers who find interfering with computer systems one of the enjoyable challenges wheres Hacktivists are those who wish to attack the companies for some ideological or political motives.

These 33 companies have recently signed a Cybersecurity Tech Accord for improving the online security and also fight together with the cyber attacks, and even more, all 33 companies have agreed to protect all the customers from malicious attacks by cybercriminals activities and nation states.

Microsoft President Brad Smith said “The overwhelming attacks from the past few years reveals that cybersecurity is not about a single company can do but it all about what all we can do together. This tech sector accord will help customers to  take a principled path towards more successful steps to work together and protect customers around the world.”

The companies made commitments in the following four areas.

1- Stronger Protection

The companies will increase stronger protection against cyber attacks. As part of this, identifying that everyone deserves strong protection, the companies are promised to protect all the customers globally regardless of the motivation for attacks online.

2- No any Offense

The companies will not even help governments to launch cyber attacks against innocent and enterprises which will protect customers against tampering or exploitation of their services and product through every stage of technology design, development, and distribution.

3- Build Capacity

The companies will try to do more to empower developers, people, and businesses which are using the technology by helping them to improve their capacity for protecting themselves. It might include the joint work on new security practices and some new features that the companies can arrange their services and product.

4- Combined Action

The companies will try to build existing relationships and also together wants to establish new formal and informal partnerships with the industries, civil society, and security researchers to improve technical collaboration, share threats, coordinate vulnerability disclosures, and also minimizes the potential for some malicious code which introduced into cyberspace.

According to Carolyn Herzog, General Counsel, the Tech Accord will surely help to protect the integrity of almost one trillion connected devices which we will expect to see organized within the next 20 years.

Companies who have signed the Tech Accord plan to hold their first meeting through the security-focused RSA Conference taking place in San Francisco, and they will need to focus on the capacity building and collective actions.
