The only downside of upright vacuum cleaners is that on average they use more power than the cylinders and thus tend to be noisier too. It was designed to minimise power consumption whilst keeping great suction power. When we heard that this was what they had done we didn’t believe that the suction power would be able to compete with that of the Dyson range.
