Tencent Takes Majority Stake In Path of Exile Development Team Grinding Gear Gam

Tencent has investments throughout the gaming industry plus the Chinese holding conglomerate looks like it's getting stronger per week. This week, the corporation has revealed many acquisition of Path of Exile developer Grinding Gear Games for the undisclosed amount.

Gamasutra reported what is this great, citing a Q & A that Grinding Gears stuck the Path of Exile forums. The dev reassured its fans that it's going to remain independent regardless of the deal with Tencent, so expect those to maintain creative power over their huge free-to-play RPG.
