Who does not know stress? Especially for young students, this is not unknown:The week is packed with lectures and exercises, in the lecture-free time one exam is chasing the next (semester break: Hahaha ...), there are no free times and everything is growing over your head.

Well, does that sound familiar to you?

Stress can be very diverse: stress through achievement pressure in the study, by big changes in the life like move / job change and stress by financial worries.

Anyone who is constantly under tension risks being dissatisfied and ill. That's why today I'm looking at the phenomenon of stress and how you can deal with stress in your studies.

Stress is not only negative

With stress you often associate something negative, but at first it helps you to master great challenges. The body beats under stress (= danger) Alarm: Adrenaline and other stress hormones are released, breathing and pulse rate are accelerated, the muscles tense up.

As a result, one is more willing to perform and gets up to speed. In primeval times, this secured man's life in battle or flight. Today, coping with stressful situations increases self-confidence and makes you feel successful.

Achieve balance

In order to gain something positive from the stress, it is important that tension and relaxation balance each other out. After every effort, a recovery phase must follow to regenerate and recharge your energy reserves.

Relaxation techniques can help. If a person is physically relaxed, muscle tone, heart rate and blood pressure decrease. The breathing deepens. This diminished arousal level of the body in turn has a favorable effect on the psyche. Those who are balanced feel in harmony with themselves and their environment. Rest is perceived positively and used as a source of power.

Those who do not begrudge these breaks, runs the risk of burn out and get sick.

Too high demands promote stress

Stress is an individual phenomenon and means something different for everyone. Not the event itself triggers the stress, but the way people perceive and deal with the situation. Often stress arises because one has too high demands on oneself or does not judge goals and tasks realistically enough.

Typical signs of stress

"Stress becomes visible through many different signs and symptoms"- said specialist from https://eduzaurus.com/type-my-essay. In general, a distinction can be made between physical and psychological signs, whereby the perceived symptoms can vary from person to person. Typical signs of stress are:

Irritability, listlessness and dissatisfaction

Although people respond differently to stress, some sequelae are very common. Those affected can be categorized into two categories: those who are prone to hypertension and heart attack in prolonged stress - the others who are eaten up by anger and become susceptible to gastrointestinal disease. A permanent stress load should not be underestimated!
