Click fraud prevention - Doe's Google handle it well, and how it can be prevente

Google is not a fan of click fraud, not at all, and they have do have tools to try and fight click fraud. Unfortunately, they're not good enough.

Why do I say that? For a couple of reasons.

First, when Google AdWords was introduced, it didn't take long until people (really evil ones), started to take advantage of their pretty fair model and by creating a bot system, they were able to 'click away' your entire marketing and advertising budget in a sec. Why would anyone do that? Because it's an easy and very efficient way to make a competitor lose lots of money.

Fortunately, Google (AdWords search and display networks) are aware of the click fraud protection problem. Google came up with a three-stage program (Filters, Offline analysis, and investigations) to deal with this unfortunate problem.

The first is an automated algorithm that detects invalid clicks in real time. The second one is an automated algorithm and manual analyses. And the last one, investigations, is rarely used since the first two systems are supposed to do most of the fraud detecting.

However, Google says so itself "Although the intent of a click is difficult to determine with a high degree of scientific accuracy, we try to identify suspicious clicks as often as possible...Undoubtedly, some portion of the invalid click activity is not detected by our proactive systems and processes".

So they're saying that their click fraud detection system does not cover a 100% of all click frauds, which is quite unfortunate since there are many companies out there that can offer fake bots and advanced systems to your competitors that will harm your ads and pretty much spend your whole marketing budget in a second.

When the time came to look for a click fraud detection service, I came across a few online click fraud prevention and detection services and even tried using the services of a few companies. So if I had to recommend a click fraud prevention service I used and really came through, it's without a doubt AdTector.com.

They are genuinely reliable; they have excellent management, their support team is available at all times, they block 'bad' IP's on my Adwords campaigns on a daily basis, and you can check out your statistics and personal info on their site and understand everything. But probably the best thing is - they have the best detection system I've ever encountered because I never got any refund from Google until I started to use their service.
