RuneScape has brought in more than 0 million in life time revenue

Jagex's 17-year-old MMO remains steadfast in achievement despite its age. In Develop: Brighton this week, Jagex CEO Phil Mansell says the free-to-play game made over 0 million in life time revenue within lifetime revenue.

Pocketgamer. biz reports that not only may be the game still monetarily productive, but the game is also carrying on to grow its userbase, which often now consists of over two hundred fifty million accounts.

Even though a good chunk of those are likely less active, RuneScape's popularity can also be viewed on Twitch, where this ranks in the top 20 for many "relevant" games and best 40 for most viewed right now.

Earlier this year, Jagex introduced it would be shutting down the dedicated version of the initial game, RuneScape Classic, because of the growing difficulty of assisting it. The game's 2nd iteration remains active in the type of Old School RuneScape alongside the most recent updated version of RuneScape. Old-school RuneScape has also recently been on sale since beta on Android, having an iOS release planned with regard to later this year.
