Sleeping disorders have become outrageously common. Back in the day, people did not have as much to deal with as they do now. Life has become tougher and more stressful as time progresses and the drastic change in the human activities has impacted on our overall health and wellbeing.

People’s routines have changed drastically. At one point in time, people did not need to be geographically mobile. But today, traveling seems to be a necessity especially, if it is for business purposes. This is one of the greatest reasons why people these days suffer with disrupted sleep-wake cycles that have resulted in the emergence of narcolepsy. Narcolepsy is a kind of sleeping disorder that can be cured with sleeping pills.

What Is Narcolepsy?

Narcolepsy is a neurological malfunction which interrupts your sleeping pattern and your waking up cycle. People who suffer from narcolepsy in the beginning experience a REM Behavior Disorder in the early stages. It is due to REM sleep dysfunction that people who are diagnosed with narcolepsy often experience aggressive and violent nightmares, hallucinations and mid-sleep movements.

Another thing that people experience when suffering from narcolepsy is sleep paralysis. Once the condition has moved from initial stages of REM sleep disorder toward severe narcolepsy, people begin to experience sleep paralysis which restricts their physical movements despite being conscious in their sleep. Because narcolepsy interrupts a smooth sleep cycle, doctors recommend patients to use cheap sleeping pills.

What are the Effects of Narcolepsy?

Narcolepsy is a type of sleeping disorder. This is because this disorder restrains a person’s ability to peacefully sleep throughout the night. As a result, it has consequences on their health and daily activities. If you do not use sleeping pills to treat this disorder, it can have the following effects on you:

Uncontrollable mid-day sleep: Narcolepsy can result in uncontrollable series of falling asleep during the day. Regardless of how busy you are or how many tasks you have piled up that need to be attended to, a person experiencing this disorder will fall asleep abruptly. This has resulted in decreased levels of productivity in the people affected.

When speaking of social conduct, it can present you in a negative light as you might appear unprofessional for suddenly falling asleep at work. In a lot of other cases, it can pose serious threats to your wellbeing. For instance, if you suddenly falling asleep while driving, you might cause a serious accident.

The causes of narcolepsy are still unknown. One of the factors that contributes to this condition is frequent traveling. Because your body finds frequent changes in time zones to be a change to the sleep pattern- something it is unaccustomed to- it finds it difficult to adjust its sleep-wake cycle. As a result, you might develop symptoms of narcolepsy.

Narcolepsy is a serious neurological disorder that can inhibit daily activities and must be treated with sleeping pills. A lot of people hesitate in using treatments, but it is better to use cheap sleeping pills and cure the problem than suffer on a daily basis.
