Have you ever seen a trainer delivering a session and imagined yourself standing in the trainer’s place? Corporate trainers work to develop the employees of the organization so that they are able to work better and prove better resources for the company. There are many train the trainer certification courses running across India, especially in Bangalore.

Like any other career students and professionals alike want to get an answer to the question of: “How to become a trainer.” And one can also get an answer to this question during his train the trainer certification. While these certifications are not ‘a must’ for anyone they definitely orient you to how things are usually done in the profession. What any firm would look for while hiring a corporate trainer is at least a graduation degree with some corporate working experience? Past experience in training and other certification would be an added advantage to prove as the reasons your profile stands out when compared to other applicants.

More important than a certification actually is to be able to communicate and provide clarity of concepts you are about to train on. And to build on such competency. A good trainer would be able to clarify all questions on the topic, coming from his/her participants. This not only requires personal understanding of the concept but also demands a very good communication skill to be able to deliver the clarity to those who don’t have it. Intelligence level of attendees could also vary and a trainer must have the competency to notice as well as attend to everyone’s doubts. While everyone is not born with all these competencies essential to be a trainer, the train the trainer certification will definitely equip you with the major requirements for stepping into a training career.

A good course into training will surely answer your doubt about how to become a trainer. Additionally, it will also provide practice exercises and practical assignments so that any individual is able to experience the nitty gritty of conducting a training program.

With hands-on experience in training you would be better equipped to handle a training related question from an interviewer. Moreover, wanting or wish is one thing. Doing it is a whole different thing. Such experiences while going through a train the trainer certification also enlighten any person whether they would be the right people for the job or not – whether they have the required competencies or not.

To be a technical trainer one would have to go through a course into that particular technology and have good command on the topic. Practical insights into various theories helping one to design an effective training program, is also a must. Use of ADDIE model, specially assessing the needs and conducting evaluation after the training, is another thing you should be aware of if you are drawn towards a career into training and development.

So what do you think – is training your thing?
