The quality of stone sealer secures the rock composed of cemented particle, calcium carbonate. Common colors of sandstones are grey, pink, yellow, red and others that usually signify the source of sandstone. Sandstone is a popular building material due to its availability, colors, and its different applications in both commercial and home building applications. A material sourced and used since ancient times, walls, temples and made of sandstone still stands today. Sandstone is resistant weathering or the disintegration of rock hence is discovered in gardens as part of the garden ornaments, fountains or as garden furniture. However as it is a stone, sandstone may become worn and damaged when not processed with sealer.

Sandstones need some care and protection to preserve their natural beauty in the upcoming years. They need regular cleaning and dusting to protect them from dust and scratches. It is also sensitive to stains by liquids, be it water or oil based. Sealing sandstone helps protect the stone by limits its absorption capacity. The outdoor sandstone surfaces use the penetrating type sealer that is UV resistant  and secures the surface of sandstone from inside, securing the internals from liquids and providing a blockage.

The surfaces are made to be resistant to dust, dirt and various contaminants. Sealers are applied on newly installed surfaces minimum three days after the installation.

Sandstone comprises of two types of material matrix and cement. Matrix is the fine grained stuff with the sand whilst cement is the mineral matter. If a sandstone comprises large magnitude of matrix called poorly type. When a sandstone comprises nominal magnitude of cement, it is called well sorted.

There are different types of stones made in the world:

Autumn brown sandstone: It offers high variation and rough texture.

Black sandstone can be found in various areas. It offers medium color variation and rough texture.

Grey Gwalior stone has less color variation and rough texture.

Buff sandstone has brown and pink shade available in colors and it offers high variation and rough texture.

Fossil sandstone is also called as mint fossil sandstone. It is found in creamy green color with medium color variation and rough texture.

Modak sandstone is also called as modak rose sandstone, it is available in light pink and yellow tones with high color variation and rough texture.

Teak sandstone is also known as teakwood sandstone. It introduces brown shades with occasional yellowish tone with medium color variation and texture is sawn finish.

In order to maintain the quality of your stone, Gwalior stone Manufacturers provide the required instructions that help in increasing the life of your stone and maintaining their brightness.

Do not use cleaners containing acids like grout or bathroom cleaners on your floor stone. They also include vinegar, bleach and ammonia. These elements can scratch the stone surface and hence they should be avoided. Better to use neutral cleaner that is specifically made for stone because acid cleaners can damage the sandstone sealer and affect the stone quality.
