Posted by FCFTA on July 19th, 2018

The Fashion and Technology Academy is a fashion training school located in London, UK, specializing in short courses in fashion as well as diploma courses in fashion and textile. The FTA opened its doors in March 2016 and was officially announced in November 2015. It is a collaboration between Fashion Enter Ltd. (sister company to FCFTA), DWP, Haringey Council, and ASOS. An extension of the hugely successful Stitching Academy UK, the FTA offers a wide range of qualifications from Levels 1 to 4. These cover the entire life cycle of a garment, including Designing, Stitching, Production and Pattern Cutting.

The courses have been designed and are run by big name brands from the fashion industry like ASOS.com, Marks & Spencer, the Arcadia Group, Fat Face, and New Look. What makes these courses special is the fact that they are accredited by CPPD London, one of the UK’s most recognized counseling schools. CPPD, that is, the Centre for Personal and Professional Development, offers tuition specific to the needs of an individual student. This allows the courses to be exceptionally well focused and career oriented. The Fashion and Training Academy is one of the largest training providers of Advanced Apprenticeships. The Level 3 and 4 apprenticeships in Apparel Manufacturing see students working with employers like ASOS.com, Marks & Spence, River Island, Debenhams, Jigsaw, M and Co and the Arcadia Group.

The Fashion and Training Academy is one of the first apparel manufacturing training companies in the UK to operate alongside its very own live factory and fashion studio. This ensures that each and every student gains plenty of exposure to real-world manufacturing skills whilst they undergo training for their accredited qualifications. Being the only training provider in the UK integrating industry practices with a live factory currently ranked as “leading status” by the industry acclaimed Fast Forward Audit, the FTA guarantees only the very best infrastructure for its students. The faculty is also top notch; all the tutors are industry trained and well qualified for teaching. In fact, Fashion Enter is currently leading on a new Trailblazer Apprenticeship Standard with seventeen retailers. In 2013 Fashion Enter was awarded The Tick Mark of Excellence by Creative Skillset for its training standards provision and is now an accredited Showcase Centre through ABC Awards due to its high standard of excellence attained in training at all levels. All the courses that are CPPD accredited are also accredited with ABC awards as well. All in all, the Fashion and Technology Academy is the place to be at if you wishes to start your career in the ever changing fashion industry.
