Lares Trek to Machu Picchu-4 days: The route provides access to high Andean regions of Cusco with beautiful views and spectacular mountains, beautiful scenery with clear lakes and small Andean villages where the natives survive through agriculture, fisheries and textileria. During the tour to Lares Valley, varied flora and fauna seen in a magical landscape. The effort is complemented by a visit to the textile artisans showing their work process and visiting archaeological sites like Machu Picchu and Ollantaytambo.

ITINERARY

FIRST DAY – Cusco – Lares trek – Huaca Wasi.

Early departure from Cusco by bus turisico the Sacred Valley, to the province of Calca to 2940msnm, where we take the detour passing Rayanpata, Machacancha to ascend to open Amparaes 4580msnm. Then it descends to reach the town of Lares to 3250msnm. Until its thermal baths.

After lunch we started walking up Huaca Wasi (3600) cold place, where he camped. (Travel time 5 hours transportation. Hiking time: about 4 hours).

SECOND DAY – Huaca Wasi – Open Ipsay – Patacancha – Lares Trek to Machu Picchu:

Early breakfast at the camp. This day ascend to the highest point of our trek to the open 4400m Ipsay. En route we will have beautiful views of the mountain scenery, high Andean communities and appreciate the colorful garments of man Lares. Descend to the community Patacancha to 3800 meters. where we will have our second camp. (Approximate walking time 07 hours).

THIRD DAY – Patacancha – Willoq – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes town of Machu Picchu.

After a nice breakfast Patacancha declining to Willoq (3,600m) and Pumamarca (3400msnm) who are skilled textile artisans of beautiful colors it began.

Here will be waiting for the bus to take them to Ollantaytambo (2850msnm), an important Inca archaeological site considered as the living Inca city, which will visit. Lunch on the way.

At night board the tourist train to take us to the town of Aguas Calientes town (2050msnm), and settling into a comfortable hotel.

FOURTH DAY – Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu hike – Cusco tours.

After breakfast, very early bus to climb the gate of the citadel of Machu Picchu and visit the rest of the morning until lunch (optionally you can visit Intipunko or Waynapicchu). In the afternoon return by train to Cusco. Transfer to hotel.

RAFTING ON RIVER URUBAMBA – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO:

Everyone can have an opportunity for a fun and spectacular adventure of descending the Urubamba exciting whitewater river in an inflatable boat with a capacity of four and eight crew, equipped with paddles, life jackets, helmets, rescue lines and led by captains specialists that give security to adventure.
