Make the Most of Sole Representative Visa UK

The primary purpose of Sole Representative Visa UK is to allow a person representing overseas business enter the country and run and establish registered branch here. This might also be subsidiary fully owned by a business in UK. The person this overseas business chooses becomes the sole representative. He or she has the right to both set and operate UK branch and its subsidiary. Part of the everyday duties as per the visa includes the following.

  • Full time employment in UK for employers
  • Extend the visa period beyond initial granted period
  • Bring family or dependants to UK
  • Make a settlement application after 5 years

The Sole Representative Visa UK does not allow the business representative to work on the own or for other companies during their UK stay. They would no longer be able to stay here anymore when the employer ends this arrangement of sole representation for some reason. You also cannot switch to this visa category from another one. This means that one cannot switch this when residing in UK temporarily as visitor and cannot receive any kind of public funds.

Another important visa type that one can apply for is the ILR Visa UK. This is different from the LTR visa that gives you only a limited leave to remain in UK. Holders of ILR can get access to the public funds such as claim allowances meant for the job seekers along with a number of other benefits available to the residents here.
