Do Facial Exercises Work? And Tubing Mascaras - Why I Love Them

I've been considering buying a book or video course about facial exercises.(What a pretty girl ,if you wear double silk lashes in your eyes to meet more choice here silk lashes wholesale) My question to you experienced folks out there: do facial exercises work? What have your experiences been? Do you have any favorite exercises you do on a regular basis? Which, if any, course would you recommend to someone who has never tried face exercises before?

I understand there are some for and against this... The pro facial exercise people say that when performed correctly it keeps the muscles under the skin in shape and the increased circulation to the skin will prevent it from wrinkling in combination with toning the underlying structures. The people who advise against it say all that pulling and stretching of your skin will only accelerate skin aging. It' s hard to say without actually trying it yourself AND committing to it, but who knows? By then it might be too late (if it turns out it actually does increase wrinkles).

I'm all about looking better (and younger) naturally. However, I'm not opposed to plastic surgery if it comes to needing it one day. Obviously I'd rather go the natural (and cheaper route) if face exercising really does work. And I want to start early so I don't have that feeling of having to panic to look for a solution. Preventative maintenance is the name of the game!

Tubing Mascaras - Why I Love Them

Before I ever tried tubing mascaras, I just could not stand actually wearing mascara. The constant smudging and mess left on my eyes after washing my face was enough to drive me crazy.

I mean, who wants to go out on a date after spending time to look good, go watch a movie that makes you tear up for a minute or two, and go to the bathroom to find out that you look like a beat up raccoon? And that your date saw you?

This is where tubing mascaras come into play. They:

- stay put on your lashes, where they belong!

- are easy to wash off

- make your lashes look great

- do not smudge, streak or melt

What more could you ask for?

The one I personally use is the Fiberwig brand. It includes fibers of some sort that sit on top of your lashes, held in place by the tubing formula and lengthen your lashes. Some people claim that it makes them look like they have falsies on, but I'm not going to agree. False lashes give you MORE lashes, but this mascara doesn't thicken as much as glue on lashes. I mean, really, what does?

Fiberwig makes my lashes look great - I don't leave the house without this stuff on.

Tubing mascaras work by coating your lashes in a flexible polymer that forms a film on your lashes as they dry. This means your lashes have the pigment coating it completely, forming a sort of flexible "sock" around each lash. Traditional mascaras are made with waxes and oils. As you may know, oils are good for taking OFF your makeup, not for long lasting smudgeproof makeup.

When you wash off a tubing mascara don't be alarmed to find out it looks... different. Some women may be scared at first that their lashes are falling out into the bath or sink, since black stringy looking things will be rinsed away from your lashes once you rub them with water or soap and water. Rest assured that these are NOT your lashes. Pick them up if you don't believe me and touch it. It'll feel like a soft, mushy glob - definitely not human hair.

SOME TUBING MASCARA TIPS

1. Apply starting at the base of your lashes and using a slight "wiggling" left to right motion to coat your lashes really well.

2. Curl your lashes and curl them well before applying mascara. I learned the hard way that if you try to curl your lashes after using a tubing mascara like Fiberwig or Blinc you'll end up with F@#KED up lashes.

3. Work on one eye at a time and apply a second coat (if you do that) immediately after the first one. This stuff dries pretty fast and it doesn't work well to put another layer on top of an already dried one. It just won't stick and will probably mess up all your work.

4. It works better (and I also find it SO much more convenient) when you don't use makeup remover to take this stuff off. All it needs to be completely removed from your face is the slightest bit of rubbing under water. It is by far the easiest type of makeup (ANY cosmetic that goes on your face) to remove.

There are other brands besides Fiberwig. MAC makes a tubing mascara and there's also Blinc Kiss Me Mascara. These both do a decent job but my personal favorite is Fiberwig. You'd have to test them all to find out which is right for you.
