CLAN LESLIE TARTAN KILT

A kilt is a knee-length non-bifurcated skirt-type garment, with pleats at the back, originating in the traditional dress of Gaelic men and boys in the Scottish Highlands. It is first recorded in the 16th century as the great kilt, a full-length garment whose upper half could be worn as a cloak. The small kilt or modern kilt emerged in the 18th century, and is essentially the bottom half of the great kilt. Since the 19th century, it has become associated with the wider culture of Scotland, and more broadly with Gaelic or Celtic heritage. It is most often made of woolen cloth in a tartan pattern.

Although the kilt is most often worn on formal occasions and at Highland games and sports events, it has also been adapted as an item of informal male clothing in recent years, returning to its roots as an everyday garment. Particularly in North America, kilts are now made for casual wear in a variety of materials. Alternative fastenings may be used and pockets inserted to avoid the need for a sporran. Kilts have also been adopted as female wear for some sports.

There are many kilts design like Henderson Tartan Kilt, Davidson Tartan Kilt, Clan Leslie Tartan Kilt,Leatherneck Us Marine Corps Corporate Tartan Kilt etc which are unique in style and pattern although mine favorite one is Davidson tartan. The Tartan Kilt is perhaps the most common and stylish of them all. Classically designed in the ways of old, the tartan kilt is typically what one thinks of when they think of Scottish kilts. Originating from a time in Scotland where certain colors were reminiscent of certain regions or clans, it is easy for you to bring into the present some of your rich heritage with every tartan kilt you own.

The Clan Leslie Tartan Kilt lets you show off your heritage by wearing your clan's tartan, or it can simply be worn because you enjoy the unique colors it bears. Mostly red, this vibrant and bold kilt is sure to catch the eye of anyone you pass by. On top of the red color are black lines that run both horizontally and vertically throughout the kilt. These black lines are outlined by white that helps to draw out the red color even more. Pleats on the sides of the kilt add a bit of depth to the look. On either side are hooks for attaching your favorite sporran. Order these kilts to measure by hip size, waist size and more.
