Reasons For Changing Your Locks

There are many reasons why you might need a locksmith. Usually if you need a locksmith it means that you have had some bad news - your property has been broken into to by burglars or you've lost your keys or your keys have been broken.

Reasons for changing your locks:

• Burglary

Burglaries are usually opportunistic. So if your property has been broken into it may be because the locks that you had in place were of low quality and easily broken. When we replace locks we will advise owners to install good qaulity insurance approved locks. Lock snapping of uPVC doors is an easy way that burglars gain access. When we replace these we fit snap safe quality cylinders which will limit the chances of this type of incident happening again.

• Broken locks

Sometimes, keys get old and worn and they can snap in the lock. Sometimes the locks itself is so old that through wear and tear it disintegrates. In these cases, a new lock and keys is recommended.

• Lost keys

We all can lose our keys, wallets, phones. If you lose your keys and ther eis some distinguishing keyring attached to them, it would be better to get your lock replaced to rest easy. It's bad luck to lose a key but worse if it measn someone else can walk into your property easily.
