City Tour Lima Part - I

This tour offers You a good combination of interesting sites that have witnesed different episodes of Lima´s history. Our style involves some walking instead of just being in the car and have little time out!

ITINERARY:

Pick up from hotel, short ride and we´ll walk along the esplanade of Miraflores district, from the Love Park to the Lighthouse overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Next, we´ll have a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca ceremonial center that because of urban growth, it´s been reduced to less than the third part of its original extension. Then, we drive through El Olivar Park, one of Limeño´s favorite parks in the city. Later, we´ll go to the colonial part of Lima to walk for about 8 blocks (on a pedestrian street) from San Martin square to Main square. Free time to wander around important buildings and sculptural pieces like The Government Palace, The Cathedral, The City Hall and the bronze water fountain. Finally, we´ll visit the San Francisco Monastery and its famous subterranean crypts known as The Catacombs.

BALLESTAS ISLANDS

PLACE DESCRIPTION:

Visit the Ballestas Islands and see the amazing variety of marine wildlife. See birds like the Peruvian booby, sea lions, penguins and if you are lucky, sometimes dolphins. Marvel at the red sand beaches and Cathedral Rock in Paracas National Park.

Early in the morning, board your boat at the port in Paracas for this excursion to the Ballestas Islands. The 3 Ballestas islands are home to pelicans, seals, sea lions, sea birds, penguins, Inca tern, the Peruvian booby, the red legged cormorant and the guanay. If you are lucky you might even see dolphins.

As you explore the islands you’ll have views of animals on the shore, flying overhead and swimming under water! Your experienced tour guide will explain all about the varied fauna that lives on these small islands.

PACHACAMAC AND BARRANCO
