The police will take care of the safety of the youngest

The new school year will start tomorrow. The youngest themselves moving along the roads will have to show great perceptiveness and knowledge of safety rules. About how to behave on the road remind police officers who are just announcing a special information campaign.

The holidays are coming to an end and the school year begins. From the first days of September, police officers will take special care of children and youth starting the school year. It is worth remembering that the greatest responsibility still lies with parents, especially the youngest children. They should focus on the safety of their children, who will now move on the road from day-to-day. Police officers remind that there is still a rule according to which the youngest should be exercised by an elderly person - who is over 10 years old. So older students or siblings should take care of younger friends or relatives.

There are several rules

Keep in mind also the basic rules of safe movement on the road:

Crossing the road in places designated for this purpose, i.e. pedestrian crossings, footbridges, underground passages,

Prohibition of entering the road directly from a moving vehicle or from behind the vehicle, another obstacle limiting the visibility of the road,

Prohibition of crossing the road in a place with limited road visibility,

Prohibition of crossing the road,

The ban on walking on the track,

Prohibition to enter the track when the dams or half-floods are lowered, and when leaving them is started,

Prohibition of crossing roads in a place where the road separates from the pavement a safety device or an obstacle, eg barriers.

Parents and guardians should also remember the rules on traveling with children in cars. It is forbidden to carry a child less than 150cm in height, in the front seat of the car, outside the safety seat or other child restraint systems. It should also be remembered that if our car is equipped with a passenger air bag and it is active. It is forbidden to transport a child sitting in a safety seat or other restraint systems on the front seat facing backwards.

It's important to wear reflective vests

It is very important to wear reflective vests with reflective tapes. Faster collapsing darkness significantly reduces visibility on the road, so lets' take care of safety today. Even a small reflective element will make the pedestrian visible from afar, so that the driver will be able to react in advance. We remind you that properly worn reflective vests should be placed on the front and back of the clothes, in a way that allows you to see them in the light directing oncoming from both directions. Every child moving on the road should use the reflective materials, regardless of which part of the road is moving - the sidewalk, road side or roadway.
