Be Inspired

Human as we are, we always face our many varied ups and downs in life. When we are down and trapped in the loophole, how do we get out of it? There are creative artists who reach a point where they face a blank wall and can't seem to become creative as they used to be. There are writers who seem to be in a mental block state when writing a book or an article, and are stuck in one point or another.  I too am no exception to that.

However, as a Christian writer, I would like to share on how I get to have consistent ways to get inspired.  I mean, not just once or twice, but consistently... on a day to day basis. To those of you who are Christians too, you may have some idea what I would like to drive at. But what about the others, the millions out there who may find themselves stuck too every now and then.

Not to brag of what I do, but I do pray on a daily basis to the living God.  This is the God in the Holy Bible.  This is the God whom I know have created the whole universe, this world where we live in, the nature around us.  This is the very God who installed the codes in every DNA to make you what you are today. The very God who designed how a monkey would look like, how Saturn looks like, how a tiny single cell bacteria can look like.  The very powerful being whose creativity, ability, and power is way beyond human comprehension.  Yes I do pray to Him and ask for an inspiration.  He is just nearby.  In fact, He is just a simple prayer away.

Another way I can suggest to find inspiration is reading God's word - the Holy Bible.  The Holy Bible, which is also known as the scriptures, in not just a simple book.  It is a book that gives life and hope.  A book full of wisdom and inspiration. Amazingly, with the advent of technology, God's word is no longer just confined in book form. It is available as an app in your smart phone.  It is available and readable as a free tool in some websites.  So, there's no excuse why we cannot have access to God's word these days!

With our very busy lives today,however, I must admit I am unable to read it several chapters a day.  But, I do get inspired in reading a few verses everyday and think about what God has to say to me during my meditation.  Often times, I would log in to an app where it focuses on a single verse for the day as part of my worship.

In some Christian homes where I've been, I have seen some wall decors that give them inspiration.  This could be a Bible verse wall art that is framed somewhere in a favorite place of their house.  Maybe in one of the rooms of a family member. This could contain the person's favorite Bible verse.

Yes, basically, you can find inspiration even in the arts that is hanged on a wall.  The art that you see in the many different galleries you know.  You can find inspiration through the framed arts that is displayed in the hallway of a building, a hospital, or an office.

Somehow, everyone of us needs that inspiration to give us the spark to keep us going and moving. Look around you. Even nature that God has created can give you that inspiration you need today.  Even an unexpected experience can give you the motivation need. 

Just be inspired, and you'll find many surprises that await you.
