Oestrogen protects a woman from several diseases. One common problem is having a frozen shoulder.

What Is A Frozen Shoulder?

Frozen shoulder is a disease which is a manifestation of an inflammatory reaction within the shoulder joint capsule which may occur due to any injury or arthritis as a result limiting the movement of your limb at that shoulder joint. Diabetics, arthritis are risk factors for this condition. Signs and symptoms of this disease include pain, stiffness, and loss of mobility at the shoulder joint. The pain can aggravate on prolonged use of the joint and can make sleeping very difficult. Often, this disease can be mistaken for a rotator cuff injury. However, in the case of frozen shoulder, a physician will be unable to move your shoulder unlike in the case of rotator cuff tear.

Treatment- Treatment consists of the usage of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and physiotherapy for frozen shoulder.

What Can Other Problems Hamper Your Shoulder Movements?

There are many conditions which can affect the movement of your shoulder. Rotator cuff injury and shoulder sprains are fairly common. In case of a shoulder sprain, the ligament supporting the joint thus stabilizing it gets torn. It is commonly due to any direct trauma or a fall onto an outstretched arm. Depending on the severity of the condition, the sprain is graded. Most commonly it is treated by physiotherapy for ligament injury in Noida.

Conclusion- The shoulder joint is pivotal for day to day activities due to its wide range of mobility. You shouldn't ignore any injury that may happen to your shoulder.
