One of the best alternatives to the traditional phone system is the VOIP phone system i.e., voice over internet protocol phone system. Voice over internet protocol phone system is also known as internet telephony. The internet telephony justifies the name i.e., the VOIP phone systems do not require any cables or ports or any telecommunication cables and the communication can be made possible with the help of internet or intranet. But these is a complete difference between the VOIP phone systems for the large businesses and the VOIP phone systems for the small businesses, homes. So there are basically 3 needs of the VOIP phone systems i.e., a computer, a high speed internet and an adapter.

If the computers are not there as a hardware, it does not means that one cannot make the good quality calls. Another important hardware, which is required to place the calls, is the headphones. The headphones are required to listen to the sounds on the other end and sensing your sound to the receiving end. A good quality headphone is required to make the communication better. Some people choose the poor quality headphones or the cheap headphones and find that the communication with such headphones is not smooth. The last thing for placing the calls with the VOIP phone systems is the software. Without software, it is difficult to make the calls possible. The software based VOIP phone systems which are also known as softphones, have to download the software for placing the calls.
