Posted by Winnie Melda on October 3rd, 2018

Linux administration concerns everything that the Linux administrator does. It is about everything regarding Linux such as the installation, creation and management of the user accounts, data management, software installations, setting permissions, data and software management, hardware, ownerships, network and system security, system upgrade, backup, and much more (Fox, 2007). Performing a system administration in Linux requires one to be well versed with everything concerning the Linux system. The Linux administration is an ongoing task aimed at making the Linux operating system function in a proper manner, safe and secure. The Linux system admin also needs to have a real-time view concerning the current state of the system so that the performance tunings can be carried out for the system.
