The number of people being employed rose by 2.5%, yet the market for jobs rose grew by 2.8%. Job seekers have more flexibility and choice than before, as there are literally more positions and lesser competition. For Companies, that meant that providing a great workplace could be the difference between getting the right talent and watching the competitor snatch them up. Great Places to Work has just released its new list of the 50 best places to work in Australia in 2018, as per the Business Insider. They surveyed 63,470 employees across 160 companies in Australia between May 2017 and May 2018. The companies that participated in this study received their scores based on two factors. Two-third of the score came from a 58-statement survey taken by the employees. The remaining one-third came from the evaluation of the company’s policies and procedures in nine particular practice areas.
