The Advantages of Using LED Lights

LED lights are taking over the whole industry very quickly. Few of the reasons why it is so successful is because it is versatile, efficient, and even lasts longer than your average light. Another major reason that makes LED favorable is how environmentally friendly it is. All of us who live on the planet earth have a responsibility towards it. It is essential that we do our part, especially now, when global warming is a serious issue that needs to be addressed on a bigger platform.

Energy Efficiency

LED's have proven to be about 80% more efficient than the incandescent or fluorescent type of lighting, which are now more commonly known as the traditional type of lights. About 90% of the energy that is produced by LED's is converted into light and only the remaining 5% is wasted. A 36 watt LED could easily replace an 84 watt of fluorescent lights.

Toxic Waste

Did you know that fluorescent lights contain mercury? They are very toxic if they are released into the environment. The disposal for such lights has to be arranged with registered disposers. It is all a big hassle. On the other hand, LED not only avoids all the extra cost that goes into arranging proper disposal but, the time implications are also removed.

Brightness
 
One of the main reasons that people prefer LED is due to how bright it can be. It could brighten up the whole space with fewer lights, which also means that the electricity bill would reduce by quite a bit. Their brightness is why people choose LED high bay light.

Long life

LED's are also known for lasting about six times more than your traditional style of lights. This is a big selling point as people do not want to worry about replacing the light every now and then. Their long-lasting life makes them ideal high bay LED warehouse lights.
 
Cold temperatures

Fluorescent lights do not do well in cold temperatures whereas LED lights are not bothered by the bitter temperature at all. Fluorescent lights require high voltage to work whereas the life of LED lights increase when the temperature drops.
 
LED's are going to be standard in the future. it is also quite versatile. One such example would be that they are compatible with controls whereas making the fluorescent light work with the controls would require you to spend extra money. The quicker you can make the switch to LED's, the better it would be for you as well as the environment.
